Life at South Plains Community Action Association Project Champs Funding Opportunity Number CA-NAV-15-001 from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is very problematic. Staff here doesn't enjoy working and is paid to do outreach and education while the Team Lead Navigator bad mouths poor impoverished people and refuses to serve them. He and his gal pal gives the rest of us a bad reputation as they would rather be in the office shopping online and doing school work than to serve the community that the grant monies awarded is supposed to be used for. When events are presented to this team lead Navigator he says that it is not related to our target audience. In fact, our grant monies says that we are required to complete outreach events and present our information to as many people as possible and that is not what is being done. Management doesn't care about the Navigator side of the business and never utilizes their power as administrators to step in. There was even an event that one person was attacked by 3 individuals for scheduling events that the individual being attacked was able to attend; and they didn't want to go attend. Once something is on the calendar everyone is required to attend and they don't like to work. We get paid to clock in and gossip, shop online, facebook all day, and anything else that anyone wants to do. I would never work for this company again. It's like the movie Mean Girls. The team lead Navigator abuses his authority and is a mean boy/girl with actions toward one individual. The way things are going I don't see that the Medicare and Medicaid will fund this specific office in the future. This is another high school situation in an adult setting. 09 Aug 16 star
